A Few Things Before the Holiday...

The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild's Winterfest will take place at Landmark Center in St Paul on Friday February 8th-6:30-9:30pm. 550 Tickets will go on sale at noon, Monday December 3rd available at http://www.ticketworks.com/. Folks, these tickets sell out very fast so do not delay. Minnesota brewers bring out the big guns for this event and if you consider yourself a beer lover do not miss it.
Todays McCann's news is we got our certificate of occupancy today. This means we have our liquor license and we are one step closer to opening day. I still hope to brew next week if the goverment finishes our paper work up.
I picked up a bottle of Brouwerij Lindemans Framboise for Thanksgiving dinner. Should pair up well with the meal.
Happy Thanksgiving folks.

How much are tickets for the event? I'm going to try to get a few members of the club down there for the fest this year.

How was the framboise?

Great Jen. A great substitute for cranberries!
Some may knock Lindeman's because of they are not a small Belgian brewery, but I'm pleased with their offerings and it's about the only lambic you can get in this area.

Yeah... I just moved from La Crosse and am still mourning not being able to buy New Glarus around here. *sigh*

My sister in law lives in Dubuque, so we always have her bring us some New Glarus when she visits. I believe I heard they were coming to Minnesota when the new brewery is up and running.

Interesting, as they've always maintained that they'll keep a tight distribution area no matter how successful they become.

I hope they lied. :)
